RML Hosp files police plaint after patient's family assaults doctor
New Delhi: A lady doctor was assaulted in the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, Delhi, by a lady relative of a 21-year-old girl who was being treated in the hospital for intracranial bleeding. Meanwhile, hospital has filed a police complaint against the relative of the patient. Angered by the attack on their colleague, the doctors complained against the lady who assaulted the doctor. The doctors said that police took her to North-Avenue police station.
Dr Subodh Kumar, Acting President, RDA-RML Hospital, said that "We were trying to determine the cause of the intracranial bleeding. Patient was getting treatment and was under supervision of doctors. The relative of the patient went to the doctor in the ward
and discussed about the treatment. The doctor was explaining to her about it but she slapped the doctor."
