Gurugram: As the mercury increases with every passing day, water supply is becoming scarce in the Millennium City, with residents of Old Gurugram the worst hit by inadequate water supply.
On Sunday, several Old Gurugram residents held protests and agitations at the nearby water boosting station.
Despite frequent complaints of private water tankers charging exorbitant sums, most residents are forced to pay the money due to little-to-no water supply in their households.
Shortage of water supply and low water pressure frequetnly plagues citizens of Gurugram during peak summer seasons of May and June.
However, this year, large parts of the city have been facing a water crisis from April itself, due to shifting of water pipelines on account of developmental works in the city.
Areas such as Sectors 22 and 23, Sushant Lok and South City have been at the receiving end.
