Registrations for PG Diploma in Cyber security & law to close on June 15
NEW DELHI: The Delhi university's newly introduced course from this session Post graduate diploma in Cyber Security and law will close registration on June 15 for foreigners. The 50 seat course has a reservation of 5 percent on supernumerary basis for the foreigners. The programme intends to produce professionals who can administer security for varied virtual platforms, banks, social media, industrial applications, mobile data and cloud interface.This course will be offered by the Department of Operational Research, Department of Computer Science, and Department of Commerce. The varsity had already closed its online registration for other courses on June 11 which saw close to 3000 applicants from across the globe.
Going by the statistics of the past ,Political Science is one of the hot favorite amongst foreign students with 45 admissions in 2013, 46 in 2014, 62 students in 2015, 44 students in 2016 and 33 in 2017. BA English (Hons ) also remains one of the most sought after course with 36 admissions in 2017, 46 in 2016, 27 students in 2015, 39 in 2014 and 28 in 2013. Economics by the past stats too remains highly popular amongst foreign students with 18 admissions in 2013, 28 in 2014, 41 in 2015, 35 in 2016 and 19 in 2017. BCom (Hons) also attracted considerable number of foreign students with 80 admitted in 2016 and 69 in 2017.
Going by the available data of the admissions of the Foreign students in Delhi university in the session 2016- 2017 1498 students were enrolled. In 2015-2016 number of foreign students who were enrolled in various courses were 1310 , whereas in 2014-2015 the students were 1184. During the year 2013-2014 the foreigners who got admissions in DU were 1,030.
