Refusing to withdraw case against accused, man killed

New Delhi: A 32-year-old man was abducted and then shot dead in Palwal, Haryana after he refused to withdraw case filed against the accused.
Police claimed that they have arrested two persons and apprehended one juvenile. The accused were identified as Parvinder (23), Vikas (20) and a 17 years old Juvenile (CCL). The deceased had lodged the case of abduction and physical assault with regard to his minor niece against the main accused Parvinder.
On May 29, at 7:40 am, a PCR call regarding the kidnapping of the deceased was received at Badarpur police station. During the investigation, different lines of suspicion regarding the abduction were examined. It was found that one Parvinder might be behind the case. "It was revealed that a kidnapping case under sections 363, 376, 328, 506, 354D IPC and 6 of POCSO Act, was registered at Badarpur against Parvinder on the complaint of the deceased's minor niece," said DCP (South East) Chinmoy Biswal.
He added that Parvinder was pressurizing deceased to get that case compromised. The police team raided the house of alleged Parvinder in Haryana and he was brought for questioning. He broke down and confessed his role in the murder. Accordingly, a police team was sent to Tappal, Aligarh and along with the help of local police, the body was recovered from Kishanpur-Peepli road in Aligarh. There were gunshot wounds on the body of the deceased. Later two more accused were nabbed.
DCP Biswal further added that the Santro car of deceased was found in a burnt condition on the bank of a river near Rasulpur village in Haryana. The country-made pistol used for killing the deceased was recovered from Agra Canal near Kithwari Village in Palwal. During interrogation, the accused Parvinder disclosed that he was arrested in a kidnapping and POCSO Act case in 2017. The victim, in that case, happened to be the niece of deceased. Accused Parvinder was out on bail and the said case was on trial at Saket Court. "Deceased being the elder member of the complainant's family, was helping her out in the case. Accused Parvinder was regularly pressuring and influencing deceased to withdraw the case but he denied," said the police officer.
Police claimed that Parvinder along with his friends decided to kill the deceased so that he could not help out the complainant in that kidnapping case. Accused persons conducted the recce of the daily routine of deceased from morning till night. After this, the accused persons planned to abduct the deceased during morning hours only when he goes to his tyre shop. "On the day of the incident, the accused persons waited near Tajpur Pahari in Maruti Eeco Car and when they saw the deceased coming in his Santro car, they intercepted his car and forcibly pulled him down and took him in their Eeco car. When they reached near Palwal, the accused persons fired on the man inside the car itself resulting in his instant death," police said. The accused took the car to an isolated place near the bank of the river near Rasulpur village, Palwal and burnt the car. They further proceeded towards Aligarh and when they reached on Kishanpur-Peepli road they dumped the body in an isolated place.
