Janata Dal (United) national general secretary and Delhi unit in-charge Sanjay Jha on Saturday said the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) victory in the Rajouri Garden Assembly seat by-election will not have any impact in the April 23 Municipal Corporation polls.
Jha also said that the humiliating defeat of the Aam Aadmi Party shows that people cannot win on false promises for long.
"The issues in the Assembly election are totally different from that of the civic polls. I am very confident that the voters of Delhi will support us for all that we have done in Bihar, and for all that we are planning to do in Delhi as well," he added.
Jha further said: "We are delighted at the incredible response from people and our candidates are attracting huge crowds in their public meetings and in outreach program. All JD(U) candidates are directed to visit door-to-door and talk to the people of their constituencies. The interests of Purvanchalis are always neglected by both national parties. We will be working for their issues."
