Politicians assure safety to Sajid and his family
Gurugram: Ever since the incident of violence culminated against Mohammad Sajid and his family, not a single day has passed since there have been assurances that have been given to the family on their security. After national politicians now local politicians have also joined the fray in assuaging growing fears of Sajid. Sohna MLA Tejpal Tanwar visited them and beseeched them to not leave the area. On Friday, when the cross -FIR was filed against two members of Sajid, an FIR, the family amid fears packed their bags and decided to move away from Gurugrma to their hometown of Baghpat.
They were however stopped at the last moment by Gurugram police officials. Senior official no less than Gurugram police commissioner Muhammad Akil has come and spoken to the family.
According to the police On March 21 which was a day of Holi, Shahid and his friends were playing in Bhoop Singh area near Dhanwas village in Bhondsi, Sohna. During the game, the ball hit one of the persons that led to the altercation between the two groups. Subsequently, the situation worsened with more men joining the opposing group and in turn hitting Shahid and his uncle mercilessly in their home.
With the growing pressure, the district administration was also forced to act swiftly on the issue. The Gurugram police have filed the case under sections of 307 (attempt of murder), 452 (house trespass), 427 (mischief causing monetary damage) and 506 (criminal intimidation)
of the Indian Penal Code. Ten people were subsequently arrested by law enforcement officials.
