Police yet to make arrests in road rage incident
New Delhi: A day after the cab driver was shot dead in South Delhi's Kotla Mubarakpur area, the city police has not made any arrest in the case as they are conducting raids in different areas of the city.
Sources claimed that the CCTV cameras near the spot were not working when the incident took place. Police sources claimed that the accused can be the resident of the nearby area who knew the area well. "We are making all efforts to nab the accused," said DCP (South) Vijay Kumar.
Police claimed that at the time of incident one of the friends of the deceased was at the spot who claimed that the accused persons' car accidentally brushed past the driver's car. This led to the argument during which the culprit pulled the trigger. The deceased wife Geeta claimed that the police did not inform her about the incident.
"It was getting late in the night my husband had not returned so I made a phone call to him which was picked by the policeman who told me to visit the hospital. I with the help of my neighbour visited there and came to know about the incident," Geeta said.
