New Delhi: After nabbing CISF commandant, his lawyer friend held for planting drugs in the car of IAS officer's husband in South Delhi.

The investigators are now searching for the person who provided drugs to CISF official. According to police, CISF official Ranjan Prakash had procured drugs from Aligarh area.

"During questioning of the accused a name was cropped up. We are conducting raids to nab that person who seems to have provided drugs, "said Deputy Commissioner of Police (south) Atul Thakur.

Investigation in the case revealed that on Wednesday night the other accused had made a phone call at the office of DIG rank officer in CGO complex regarding a suspicious car parked in the parking area of the Electronics Niketan. "Prakash thought that call receiver may recognise his voice so he told his friend to make a phone call," an officer said. The CISF commandant posted with the ministry of external affairs (MEA). Police, with the help of CCTV footage, identified the two men and their car. Police also traced the location of the person who had called the CISF officer and found that he was a street vendor in Mehrauli, the police officer said.

The street vendor told police that two men approached him on Wednesday and took his phone to make an emergency call, he said. Singh first tried to mislead police, but later confessed of planting drugs in the car with the help of his lawyer friend.
