Police lodge FIR after boy is bitten by dog

Noida: An eleven-year-old boy, a resident of sector 31, has sustained grevious injuries in his leg after being bitten by a pet dog in Sector-36 of Noida. The victim's father has alleged that the owner of the dog willingly let the animal attack his son to stop him from picking a fallen mango in a garden.
According to police, the victim has been identified as Arun Kumar, who lives with his family in Nithari Village under sector 31 of Noida. The victim's family has accused that the owner of dog, Rishi, aged around 80 years, deliberately unleashed her dog to bite the child.
The incident occurred on Monday at around 7 am when the child went out of his house to play in Sector-36 park along with other children.
Jais Kumar, victim's father, said "When my son was on his way to home, he saw a mango lying near the gate of the woman's house. As he went to pick the fruit, the woman who was standing on the gate of her house opened the dog's leash and the dog ran out and pounced on him."
The boy received deep cuts in both legs and the doctors will conduct a surgery as a part of the treatment. He was taken to District Hospital of the city, where the doctors did some treatment and referred him to Safdarjung Hospital in New Delhi.

As we tried to contact the dog's owner, she told us that as she opened the door, the dog suddenly came out and bit the boy. However, an investigation will be conducted by the RWA body and actions will be taken. We will also help the victim's family and donate the money to them also."
