To curb such activities of criminals, Dwarka district has implemented the a crime-prevention strategy of 'Corridor Patrolling'. Three such corridors which are used by the criminals to enter and exit Dwarka were identified.
Police claimed on one of the corridors from Dwarka Mod to Radisson Hotel, they found a car driven at high speed i.e. Corridor-III on the intervening night of August 5 and 6. They were signalled to stop at police picket at Dwarka Mod. The car hit the police barricades and dragged the barricades along with it for some distance.
"The corridor patrol vehicle chased the car and during the chase, the ill-fated car hit the divider near NSIT red light. When the car finally stopped, two young men came out of the vehicle and attempted to run away from the police staff. The corridor patrol police party caught them," said DCP (Dwarka) Anto Alphonse.
