Police Commissioner visits injured cops, asks them to keep morale high

New Delhi: Commissioner of Delhi Police, Amulya Patnaik, visited the residences of Constable Shobhit (3rd Bn) and Constable Sandeep (North District), who got injuries during the incident on November 2 in Tis Hazari Courts complex.

CP, Delhi appreciated their courage in discharge of duty and assured all possible medical assistance and help from the department. CP, Delhi also directed DCP/North and DCP/3rd Bn, who were already in touch with these Constables to constantly monitor their recovery.

Patnaik also met 16 other officials in the office of DCP/North who also had sustained some injuries initially and were already back on duty. He urged them to keep their morale high, as the entire force stands with them. The CP, Delhi was accompanied by DCP/North District and DCP/3rd Bn.

Meanwhile, a fresh CCTV footage of Tis Hazari violence has emerged in which DCP North Monika Bhardwaj is seen being thrashed by a violent mob and later seen escorted by some poolice men to safety. She is seen limping and some plain clothes men are also seen taking her to safety along with cops. Monika along with her staff rushed to the scene where a high blaze was seen amidst lawyers mob.
