PCR unit foils burglary attempt

New Delhi: The PCR unit of Delhi Police foiled an attempt to burglary from an electronic showroom in Burari. According to police in the intervening night of November 15-16 the staff who were on patrolling nearby Kaushik Enclave Burari main road, staff noticed that 2-3 persons were trying to break the shutter of Banke Bihari Samsung showroom.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (PCR) Sharat Sinha said that on viewing police MPV vehicle, the culprits fled away. "The staff of MPV also tried to catch the culprits but they succeeded to escape by taking advantage of darkness," said DCP PCR. The staff informed the owner of showroom Rishi Aggarwal who came there, checked the showroom and found nothing was stolen. "He informed the police that there were 10 to 15 lacs worth of electronic equipment and gadgets in his showroom. He also thanked the staff of PCR team in his statement to prevent his big loss from burglary in his showroom," police said. The matter was later reported to Burari police station.

Meanwhile, in another case, PCR unit arrested a snatcher in Najafgadh area. Police identified the accused as Vikas. On November 16, the PCR team received an information regarding snatching near a school. The team met the complainant who pointed towards a person who had snatch his cash. The staff chased the accused and

nabbed him.
