PCR staff nab snatcher
NEW DELHI: A snatcher who was fleeing after snatching the chain and purse of a woman has been chased and apprehended by alert PCR staff in Khanpur area of Delhi.
On June 3, early morning, ASI Mukram Ali and Constable (Dvr) Ram Raj were on their duty at Khanpur T-Point. In the mean time they heard shouting of people "pakdo…pakdo" and some people chasing a boy. The alert and watchful PCR staff immediately swung into action and apprehended the fleeing boy namely Sonu after a brief chase.
Meanwhile one lady (victim) came over there along with her husband and she identified the boy who had snatched her gold chain and purse containing Rs. 1000/-. On personal search a broken gold chain was recovered from his possession.
During interrogation he revealed that his associates had taken away the snatched purse containing money belonging to victim. The MPV staff of South Zone has displayed alertness and presence of mind, and sense of duty by apprehending a snatcher and recovered the snatched gold chain from is possession. It is being investigted if the accused in involved in any other cases.
