Pataudi family murder: Cops on the hunt for wife's brother
Gurugram: Chilling revelations have to come to the fore about how brutally four members of the Gour family were killed in their residence in Pataudi on Wednesday.
Additionally, on Friday, Gurugram Police said they are zeroing in on the main suspect Suresh, the brother of the deceased Pinky Gour. At the moment Suresh is still at large and is yet to be located.
According to police sources, forensic report shows that Manish Gour, Pinky's husband, was not only hit with a hard object but was also stabbed at least 32 times on his chest, back, head and neck.
However, 25-year-old Manish's death, according to the report, was attributed to deep injuries which he sustained on his neck.
Manish's mother Phoolwati and his one-and-a-half-year-old daughter Charu also died painful deaths, though the post-mortem report claimed there were stabbed to death like the 25-year-old cloth trader.
The most brutal of the four murders, however, was that of 18-month-old Charu, who was bludgeoned to death.
Sources said that even after the suspect is caught, it will not be an easy task for law enforcement officials to fully solve the case, which is riddled with the number of complexities.
To begin with, cops are yet to ascertain the motive for these murders.
According to sources in the police, Suresh was upset with the discord that his sister Pinky had with her husband Manish and her mother-in-law.
Suresh reportedly had visited the Gour household several times to settle the differences, but in vain, which he apparently culminated into taking such an extreme step.
It is also not clear as to why Suresh murdered his own sister.
It may be noted that while 62-year-old Phoolwati, Manish and Charu were bludgeoned with a sharp object, Pinky's body was found hanging from the ceiling fan with several cuts and bruises on her hand.
Investigators are now awaiting the viscera report to get clarity on how Pinky was allegedly murdered.
There also is the possibility of the murders being committed over a property dispute, though investigators have issued no official information on this angle.
In the meantime, the testimony of three-year-old Akshay, Manish and Pinky's son and the sole survivor of the household, now is more vital than ever before.
Police are now waiting for Akshay to recover from the trauma and trying to gather evidence of Suresh's visit and his interactions with the family.
