One more Bhondsi jail inmate flees

Gurugram: Gurugram police was left red-faced again after another criminal was able to successfully escape from its clutches on Tuesday. The inmate who has been identified as Bhagwaan Dass (41) was convicted in the rape of a minor and was getting treated in a hospital in Rohtak from where he escaped.

Dass was convicted in 2013 under the protection of children from sexual offenses act (POCSO) and had been in Sohna jail for more than five years. He was taken to PGI hospital in Rohtak for getting treatment for brain tumour. Seeing opportune time on Tuesday afternoon, the 41-year-old escaped from the hospital.

The careless approach of the Gurugram police was seen as the security personnel at that time were not present to stop him. On Friday, another rape accused named Amit escaped from Bhondsi jail after hiding in the garbage truck.
