One killed, 3 injured in Noida building collapse
Noida: A 33-year-old labourer was killed while three other were critically injured after a mud wall at an under-construction Multi storey building collapsed over them in sector 62 area of Noida on Monday morning.
All the four victims worked as labourers at the building, said police officials.
According to police, the victims have been identified as Ram Lakhan from Shahjahanpur, Ravinder, Veerpal and Rajkumar, all natives of badaun District.
Cops said that Ram Lakhan has died in the incident while the other three persons have been admitted at the hospital and are undergoing treatment.
Pankaj Rai, Station House Officer of sector 59 police station in Noida said that the incident occurred around 9 am when the labourers were working at an under-construction IT company at plot number 27 in c block of sector 62.
"Upon receiving the information, a police team rushed to the spot and the victims were taken to fortis hospital in Noida. Ram Lakhan, a labourer, succumbed to injuries while getting treatment while the other three victims were declared as critical by the doctors."
"As of now we have not received any complaint into the matter," said Rai.
The officer further said that the men were working in the basement and while they were engaged in earth work for construction of the basement of under construction commercial building, a huge slice of mud slipped over them from a
height.
