One held for robbing woman in Naraina

NEW DELHI: Delhi Police on Wednesday said it arrested a man who, along with his two associates, robbed a woman in Naraina on Monday. Cops said the accused has been identified as Baljinder Singh, a resident of Inderpuri in central Delhi.

On October 29, Delhi Police received a call that a woman had been robbed of her belongings in Naraina.

In her complaint, she state that three persons with guns entered her house and threatened her at gunpoint.

After they stole her belongings, she tried to raise an alarm, but the three men managed to flee.

"In the course of the investigation, call detail records of suspects were analysed. On the basis of analysis of the records and sheer determination, the accused Ashok Kumar, an employee of the complainant's husband, and his associate namely Baljinder were zeroed in on," said a senior police officer.

While Baljinder is in police custody, the other two accused Ashok and Naresh are on the run. Police have intensified efforts to trace out the remaining two, adding that they have crucial leads and would soon arrest the men.

While Naresh is a resident of Dharuhera in Haryana's Rewari, Ashok is a resident of Inderpuri, police added.
