One dies, seven injured after a UP roadways fell off the road

Greater Noida: At least one person was killed and seven other passengers were injured after a Uttar Pradesh state transport bus met with an accident on Tuesday morning at National Highway-91 in Dadri area of Greater Noida, said police.

According to police, the incident took place at around 5:30 am near Loharli village on the National Highway-91, under Dadri Police Station area, they said.

The police said that about seven to eight persons suffered injuries in the incident and they were discharged after administering the first-aid. However, one of the passengers died while being treatment at the hospital.

"Following the information conveyed, a police team rushed to the spot and rescued the victims to hospital. Ram Kumar (36), a resident of Shahjahanpur, suffered critical wounds and was referred to the Dadri Hospital where he succumbed to the injuries. Other injured were given first-aid and relieved. Meanwhile we have registered a case of careless driving and under other relevant sections of IPC against the unidentified bus driver," said the police.
