One die, 5 injured as cargo truck collides with auto

NEW DELHI: In a tragic accident one person was killed and five other injured when they were travelling in an auto hit with a cargo truck near Lal Kuan DTC bus stand in Pul Prahladpur area of South-East Delhi in the wee hours of Tuesday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Udai, from Meethapur in Delhi. He was working as a parking man in PVR Saket. He was declared brought dead by the doctors when the injured were rushed to the hospital. Initial investigation revealed the truck was used by a cargo company.
The accident happened at around 2.20am when the cargo truck rammed into the auto which people were travelling in. The auto was mangled due to the impact of the collision. Soon, the police was called by the passerby and the injured were rushed to the hospital by PCR staff of Delhi Police and the ambulance.
However, Udai succumbed to his injuries and was declared brought dead. Five other were admitted of which two were discharged after treatment. "Two of the injured, one Bitthu, a resident of Molarband, Badarpur and the auto driver Rahul are still unconscious and are unfit for statement. We have registered a case under 279/337/304A IPC is registered and investigation is on," said DCP South East Chinmoy Biswal.
