Once again pollution caused by dust chokes Gurugram
Gurugram: Just like other cities in the National Capital Region (NCR), the residents of Gururgam too is forced to inhale toxic air. A host of factors are attributed to the deterioration of air quality in Gurugram, the main among which in Gururgam is said to be pollution caused by dust.
Despite several claims by the authorities heaps of dust can be seen not only in the interior parts but even the main roads of the city. It is estimated that 30 percent of the pollution in Gurugram is caused due to dust.
To tackle dust pollution, the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) had started the process of greening the areas but the ambitious process did not yield desired results.
Taking congnisance of the poor condition of air, the district administration has already announced restriction of construction activities from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am. Besides that, mechanised sweeping of the roads, sprinkling of water on the roads and the plans is also to be undertaken by the government agencies.
