Now, book online community halls under SDMC

New Delhi: SDMC Mayor Narendra Chawla on Thursday inaugurated online community hall booking process in a function organized at Civic Centre. The interested persons will be able to log on website-mcdonline.gov.in for booking of AC and Non AC community halls.

Chawla said that SDMC is committed to provide all its services online. This provides transparency openness and corruption free mechanism. He added that 93 community halls under SDMC are available for online booking, out of these 9 are air conditioned. The community centres are for the citizens for online booking at affordable rates for organizing their social functions in clean and well managed halls. The citizens will be able to visit MCD site for online booking while sitting at their home. They will have to go to online community hall booking option and mention the name of zone, applicant mobile number, date of booking. Thereafter they will receive an OTP number on their mobile which will enable them to fill online application form, online payment and they will be able to download their booking receipt. The applicant will be able to see the availability of community halls and details of booking already done.

Commissioner PK Goel stated that this facility has since started from Thursday onward though this will also remain available at citizen service bureau for quite some time. He added that SDMC has been trying to provide all services with full transparency accuracy and ease. The process of online booking and services results in minimum footfall in the offices.
