Northern Railways celebrates Vigilance Awareness Week

New Delhi: The Northern Railways here celebrated its maiden Vigilance Awareness Week, 2019, beginning on Monday, formally marked open by General Manager TP Singh, who took an integrity pledge with all other officers and staff of Northern Railways. The year's theme for the vigilance week was - Integrity: A way of Life.

The Northern Railways has started an intensive programme with respect to vigilance awareness, which includes a seminar to be held on October 30 and other events like Nukkad Natak, debate competitions, quiz competitions and the official release of Chetna Aahwan - the Vigilance Bulletin for 2019.

The Northern Railways has also taken up the initiative to set up complaint counters at various stations such as New Delhi, Delhi Jn., and Hazrat Nizamuddin, which will be inspected by senior officials. In a statement, the organisation said, "Northern Railways has been undertaking extensive and broad-based activities to tackle the menace of corruption in all areas of functioning."
