Nonagenarian murder: Accused meticulously planned murder
New Delhi: From July this year, Kishan (domestic help) had started planning to abduct the 91-year-old retired government official from his home in South Delhi's Greater Kailash II area, revealed the interrogation of the accused who were arrested in the case.
According to investigators, recently, the accused had taken a room on rent in Sangam Vihar area, from where the body was recovered. It was hidden in a pit which was dug a few days ago. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (south) Parvinder Singh said that five accused including domestic help were nabbed from Delhi and Kashganj.
"Kishan had no remorse for the crime," an officer said. Another official, elaborating more about the motive behind the incident, stated that there are several reasons including money, hatred towards the deceased, identified as Krishna Dev Khosla.
According to police, during interrogation, accused said that sometimes he was taunted by elderly man for the food or tea which he prepared for the him.
On Saturday, the domestic help allegedly offered the couple (deceased and his wife) tea laced with sedatives. The couple lost consciousness. Kishan with the help of his associates stuffed elderly man inside the refrigerator and fled the crime scene on tempo.
"The accused did not found anything in the house to hide the elderly man so he used the refrigerator. Kishan thought that after seeing fridge coming out from the house, other people might think that it was going for some repair work," sources added.
The domestic help alleged that the deceased's wife never ill-treated him so he did not attack her, police said.
On the way to Sangam Vihar, accused had withdrawn money from two ATMs with the help of deceased's debit cards.
The city police scanned more than 200 cameras to nab the accused.
"We got a clue that one of the suspects' movement was noticed in the Uttar Pradesh area. A team was sent there. At the spot which was Kashganj, the team searched the vast rural area, forests, railway tracks and nabbed three accused including the domestic help," police said.
