Amid the happiness, however, there are also complaints of people flouting the norms and having late night loud parties that instead are causing disturbances to the residents.
Besides filing the complaints with the district police, many residents are also sharing their grievances in the social media. Many complain that how in the garb of celebration people play loud music at the residential societies till late night.
While there is a tough law which has been formulated by Apex court over people creating noise pollution, senior police officials mentioned that in most cases they stop the activities creating noise pollution. Even as police officials mention that action is being taken by them to curb activities causing noise pollution, most of the residents are not impressed by the claims.
Speaking about action taken by the Gurugram Police over the issue, a senior Gurugram police official stated, "We charge the offenders who create noise pollution under Section 188. There are numbers of complaints that are been received by the PCR's over people playing loud music after 10:00 pm and troubling residents. Our officials take action on these individuals accordingly."
"Taking cognisance that Police may not be present everywhere, we have also asked the home guards and other Private guards in the colonies to coordinate with us in reporting complaints of the people who create noise pollution," added the senior police official.
