Noida: Aiming to boost connectivity between Delhi and cities of NCR and western UP, the Noida Authority has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) to engage transport consultants to design a regional comprehensive mobility plan (CMP) to connect Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad and Hapur with the neighbouring cities of Delhi, Gurgaon and Faridabad.

Officials said that the decisions have been taken keeping in mind the expansion of Yamuna Expressway and the upcoming Noida International Airport along with other key infrastructure and development projects.

The Regional Comprehensive Mobility Plan was approved by the infrastructure and industrial development commissioner Manoj Kumar Singh in Noida Authority’s board meeting held on August 13, 2023.

The project aims at reducing travel time to Delhi by almost half considering growth projections over the next five decades. Under the plan, new connectivity options will be explored for Noida, Greater Noida, Yamuna City, Bulandshahr, Hapur and New Noida with Delhi.

According to officials, the applications from consultant companies have been invited. The deadline for submitting proposals is November 14, and the technical bid will open on November 16.

The committee included officials from Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway authority which will be headed by the CEO of Noida Authority. The plan will cover a detailed analysis of all modes of transportation, including pedestrians, cyclists and public transport, to ensure convenient and cost-effective access to places of employment and education while optimising resource allocation.
