Noida Authority demolishes two unauthorised marriage halls
Noida: Noida Authority on Monday carried out an intensified anti-encroachment drive against unauthorised occupation of commercial plots and demolished two unauthorised marriage halls in sector 110 of Noida.
As per a senior Noida authority officer, the actions were taken after several notices which were sent to the marriage hall owners went unanswered.
"The demolition drive was carried out against Rama banquet hall which is spread in an area of 5000 sqm in sector 110. The banquet hall was illegally being run on a land owned by Noida authority. We had issued several notices to them in past but they didn't reply to any of them. Demolition actions were taken in presence of nearly hundred police personnel and senior authority officials," the officer said.
Apart from this, the demolition actions were also taken against Paras marriage hall which was spread over an area of 4000 sqm in sector 110. Collectively the Noida authority has taken possession of over 8 thousand sqm of land of which the authority officials claimed to have a market value of over Rs 50 crores. The Noida authority has also identified nearly 50 such illegal construction against whom the demolition actions will be taken soon.
Meanwhile, sources said that the Rama Banquet hall was owned by the son of a retired officer at Noida authority.
