Nigerian man found dead in Uttam Nagar

New Delhi: A 35-year-old Nigerian national was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his rented accommodation in south west Delhi's Uttam Nagar on Friday, police said on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Neely Emeko, who had come here last year on a business visa. He was currently working at a company. His employer was trying to reach him for the last few days but Emeko was not answering calls. His employer came to meet Emeko at his residence today.
He knocked on the door several times but did not get any response from Emeko.
He peeped through a window and found Emeko lying unconscious on the floor, the police said.
The police were informed. Emeko's body has been sent for post-mortem and the cause of death will be known after the autopsy.
Emeko was not keeping well for the last few days and it is suspected that he might have died due to illness.
Police data accessed by Millennium Post states that between 2015 and 2017, 8,486 dead bodies were recovered from different parts of the Capital.
While 2015 saw recovery of 3,063 bodies, more than 3,000 dead bodies were recovered in 2016.
Last year, till November, over 2,415 dead bodies were discovered.
