Nigerian arrested for supplying cocaine

Delhi Police have arrested a Nigerian national for his involvement in the supply of cocaine for rave parties in Delhi. Chima Akuma was arrested from Saket with 110 grams of high quality cocaine on Monday.

According to a senior police official, the case came to light on April 17, when police had received secret input about the whereabouts of Akuma. "Based on the inputs, we found that the accused was on his way to Saket metro station to sell a batch of cocaine to a prospective seller," said a senior police official.

Acting on the inputs, a special team from Crime Branch was constituted which laid a trap at the rendezvous site. Akuma was spotted near Indian Park around 10.25 pm, and after waiting for the customer he decided to leave the area.

The team managed to apprehend him and recover the contraband. Upon his interrogation, Akuma revealed that he had come to Delhi in 2014 on a medical visa and had set up a readymade garment store.

However, due to mounting losses, he decided to enter the drug trade. "He rented a house in Neb Sarai Village in 2014. Since then, he has been supplying cocaine to college going students.
