Noida Police seize accounts of social trade firm worth Rs 27 crore

A few more accounts of Web Work Trade Link Private Limited — the company which is suspected to be working on the lines of Ablaze Info Solutions Private Limited — were seized by the Noida Police on Thursday.

Around Rs 27 crore have been recovered by the police through these accounts. The accounts are owned by Web Work directors Anurag Garg and Sandesh Verma, with private banks of Noida and Delhi.

"We are conducting search operations at various suspected places to arrest the directors of the company. Some more bank accounts are under our scanner. We will investigate them further," police said on Thursday. "We have recovered the residential addresses of the Web Work directors, who are in Delhi and Meerut.

We will raid all the suspected places and will keep surveillance on their phone numbers to trace them" said Dinesh Yadav, Superintendent of Police, Noida.

Soon after the revelation of one of the biggest social trading scams, which involved cheating to the tune of Rs 3,700 crores, police have turned the screws on any such scheme, running behind the board of multi-level marketing companies, and suspect them to be performing fraud in the name of social trade.

Web Work Trade Link Private Limited is another in the list of those accused of cheating thousands of people in the name of 'likes'. The company came to the fore after an FIR was registered against it on February 12.

Soon after conducting investigations, police found the company of having duped thousands of customers in the name of 'Click like Scheme'. Police, thus, have seized the office of Web Work Company, located in Noida Sector-2.
