One arrested for firing at uncle's marriage function

Delhi Police has arrested one person, who had opened fire at a marriage function of his uncle, over a family dispute, police said on Sunday. The accused identified as Harish, was arrested from Metro line, Jaffarpur Kalan.

The firing incident took place on 30 January this year when the accused along with three of his associates had opened fire at his uncle, Rajakaran, at Rawta village,
Jaffarpur Kalan.

The victim had suffered bullet injuries on his chest and was later shifted to the local hospital.

During investigation, it was found that Harish was beaten up by his uncle during one of the ceremonies for his sister's wedding a few days ago. But they had
brushed aside their differences and later Harish was invited to the wedding.

Harish thought of exacting revenge for the humiliating betaing, and roped in three of his associates to eliminate his uncle.

After opening fire at Rajakarn, they all fled from the spot in their i-10 car. "The accused had fled to Katra (Jammu) and also hid at

various locations around Haryana. One accused Pawan has already been arrested during investigation, while the main accused, Harish, was absconding along with two of his associates," said a senior police official. Further investigation is underway.
