E-commerce firms linked with Ablaze come under scanner

Some of the top e-commerce companies are likely to get singed by the fire of investigation carried out by Uttar Pradesh Police in the 'Like' scam.

Some companies have been found to be in contract with Anubhav Mittal's firm, Ablaze Info Solutions Limited, for getting maximum possible likes on their products and web pages to promote their business. E-commerce companies, involved with Mittal's firm are likely to be interrogated by the Uttar Pradesh police to know about the operations that were being carried out by Ablaze.

To promote their product or any scheme, some e-commerce companies used to get into touch with Ablaze. Mittal's firm would then increase the value of the concerned product or service by increasing the number of hits and/or likes. The hits/likes would be done by members of Ablaze, who have now become victims of the 'click like' scam.

Moreover, the cops are also likely to question a few Bollywood actresses. "The staff members of the hotels are already being questioned by the police while they are seeking legal counsel on asking the celebrities to join the investigation", said a senior official of the Special Task Force.

Raj Kumar Mishra, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Special Task Force said: "TheCourt has ordered six days police custody remand of all the three accused involved in the scam. Till February 14, they will be furtherinterrogated by the police. Our investigations are still on the case and we will soon disclose the scam."
