Three arrested for attempting to murder man over minor quarrel

Delhi Police have arrested three persons in connection with an attempt to murder case in East Delhi. The three identified as Naseem, Kamil and Yamin, had opened fire at the victim, Shekhar Khatana, over a monetary dispute.
According to police, they had received a PCR call on Monday afternoon about a quarrel and subsequent firing. The police reached LBS Hospital, where the complainant was seeking treatment for a bullet injury. Khatana reported to the police that he was drinking out in the open with his friends at Ghazipur dairy farm, when he was approached by Yameen, who started to quarrel with him over a financial dispute.
Naseem later called his friends Pola and Kamil and later the argument turned violent when Naseem took out a country-made pistol and opened fire at him.
Later, the police started investigation and had deputed teams near Ghazipur dairy farm. They collected the testimonies of the eyewitnesses and were able to ascertain the location of the accused.
The accused were hiding inside their jhuggi located at Ghazipur dairy farm. "We managed to apprehend the accused from their homes. We also managed to recover the weapon of offence along with one live cartridge. They have confessed to their involvement in the crime," said a senior police official.
