Juvenile apprehended for murdering gangster's father

A week after notorious gangster Manjeet Mahal's father, Shri Krishan was gunned down outside his house in Mitraon Village, the police have apprehended one juvenile inconnection with his killing. The accused was directed by the Kapil Sangwan gang to avenge the death of Sunil, alias Doctor.

According to police, they had found about the involvement of the juvenile who is a school dropout, from their local sources. They had received inputs that the boy would come near Gulabh Bagh in Uttam Nagar on a stolen motorcycle. Acting on the tip-off, a team was sent and he was apprehended. "The boy was interrogated and he gave up the members who were with him when they had killed Mahal's father.

They were identified as Ankush, Anil, Deepak Dhankar and Deepak Maan. The boy had fled after the killing and later had stolen a Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle from Rajender Nagar area," said a senior police official. The police have said that all of the members are a part of the Kapil Sangwan gang. They were given clear instructions by Sangwan to eliminate Mahal's father as he had killed Sunil, alias Doctor.

"Both the gang leader (Sangwan and Mahal) are currently lodged in Tihar. Mahal had killed Sunil who was Sangwan's brother-in law and then the reprisal killings began, when Mahal's family members were targeted. Sangwan had roped in the boy to avenge his father's killing, the official added. Further, the police have also reported that Manjeet Mahal was himself a target and an attack was supposed to take place inside
