HIV positive man sexually assaults minor boy

In a serious incident, an HIV positive man has sexually assaulted a 5-year-old boy in East Delhi's Mandawali. The incident was reported when the boy told the incident to his parents and the parents reported the matter to the police.
A 52-year-old man who is allegedly HIV positive and currently undergoing treatment, has sexually assaulted the child on Saturday. The man had a shop and used to sell pickles but was not doing any specific job these days.
The accused has a building and resides on the ground floor. He has rented out the other floors. According to sources, the boy's family was a tenant in the building and being the landlord, the accused developed a good rapport with the family and the victim boy.
On Saturday, the-five-year-old boy was alone at home and the accused took the boy to the roof and sexually assaulted the boy. The accused fled the spot leaving the child behind.
The boy narrated his ordeal to his parents who were out for work. On hearing that their child has been sexually assaulted by their landlord, the parents called the police and registered an FIR.
Immediately after receiving the complaint, the police swung into action and arrested the accused.
"We have registered a case under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) and a case under Section 377 of the IPC. The accused has been arrested," said a senior police officer.
The cops are also verifying if the 52-year-old man has also assaulted other children in the locality.
