Already in police custody for allegedly duping over seven lakh investors of Rs 3,700 crore, yet another complaint has been lodged against Anubhav Mittal, CEO, Ablaze Info Solutions Limited. The company lured over seven lakh investors on the name of social network-based Ponzi scheme.
Following three previous FIRs against the accused in Surajpur, Noida Phase-III and Indirapuram police stations, a new FIR has been registered in Siyana police station of Bulandshahr district against the CEO of the company Anubhav Mittal on Friday.
According to the complainant, Abdul Jabbar, a resident of Siyana: "I joined the company in the month of December and on getting me and my wife registered for two separate IDs, I transferred Rs one lakh 15 thousand to the company's bank account through NEFT. The company had an account in Ghaziabad's Raj Nagar branch of Axis Bank. Post joining, we got a sum of Rs 15,000 from the company but later in the month of January, the company didn't make any payments to us."
"Along with other investors who suffered under the scam, we visited the Noida Sector-63 office of the company and insisted them to let us meet the CEO of the company. They assured that we will receive the payment in the next 15 days but nothing such happened. We also received life threats from the company's security guards," said Jabbar.
This Ponzi scam is one of the biggest online scam which duped over seven lakh people including some foreign investors from Nigeria. The company lured Rs 50 crore from around fifteen thousand people of Jind district in Haryana. Taking forward the investigation, Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police, Javeed Ahmed, on Saturday, constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe this online fraud. The SIT would be supervised by Inspector General (IG) Crime and led by Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Meerut.
R K Sharma, Station House Officer, Siyana police station said: "Based on the complaint, we have registered an FIR against Anubhav Mittal under IPC Sections 406 and 506."
