North MCD opens parking lot with capacity of 350 cars at Rajendra Nagar

Parking for visitors at the busy Rajendra Nagar will be eased as the North Delhi Municipal Corporation has thrown open surface level parking with a capacity of 350 cars on Friday. An official informed that the eight-storeyed multi-level car parking will have a capacity to park 900 cars. It would be developed with an estimated cost of Rs 92.34 crore over an area of 4,261 square metres. He said that the surface parking for 300 cars would be available for cars until the construction work of the multi-level car parking gets completed.

On the occasion, Member of Parliament Meenakshi Lekhi congratulated the citizens for the parking. She said that the citizens had to face a lot of problems since it is a crowded area. She said that development of the parking would help in resolving this issue. . Meanwhile, while inaugurating a mini stadium, Lekhi said this would not only help the children but people belonging to other sections will also get a space where they can do activities for physical fitness. She said that earlier, children used to have enough space to play but there is a lack of space to play now.
