Usually we have seen spouses to engage in the little friendly competitions but the Loni constituency of Ghaziabad will witness a bizarre competition between a husband and wife standing against each other in the upcoming polls. The couple ran for the elections against one another from the same constituency. Husband, Madan Bhaiya, the nominated candidate from Rashtriya Lok Dal party will run against his wife Geeta Devi, an independent candidate, in the upcoming UP Assembly elections.
All the five constituencies will witness something different this time where one or the other competent is somehow related to each other but the strangest amongst all will be the Loni constituency where the wife, with a passion for democratic progress, will be standing in front of her husband in the Assembly elections. There is chaos among the supporters and they are finding it hard to decide whom to vote for.
Madan Bhaiya, ex-MLA, from Loni constituency is very close to Ajit Singh, president RLD, and has been constantly working for the publicity of the party due to which the party has nominated him for the elections. On the other hand his wife, Geeta Devi has chosen to fight the election independently and has filed her nomination along with her supporters.
Geeta Devi has claimed the area badly needs development. She is passionate about working for the people. No one has done anything in the favour of women of the area. She will work in the favour of the people and will somehow try and uplift the status of women in the area. The nomination of the spouse from the same constituency has created chaos among the supporters and the relatives are finding it very hard to choose the more deserving candidate between them.
