New bus route connects Bawana village to Rithala Metro Station

New Delhi: In a move to bolster the city’s public transportation network, Delhi Transport minister Kailash Gahlot unveiled a new bus route 990C, connecting Bawana village in the northwest of Delhi to Rithala Metro Station, on Sunday.
The inauguration ceremony took place at Bawana Chowk, underscoring the city’s commitment to improving accessibility and convenience for its residents.
The newly-introduced bus route 990C is set to serve as a vital transportation link for commuters residing in the Bawana Village, Bawana Industrial Area, Barwala, Pooth Khurd, and Prahladpur, greatly enhancing their daily commute options. The route includes 19 crucial stops, providing better connectivity and easier access to essential locations along the way.
Gahlot highlighted the significance of this new route, saying, “The introduction of the 990C bus route signifies our commitment to provide efficient and convenient public transportation options for the citizens of Delhi. With the commencement of this bus route, people living in Bawana village and the surrounding villages of Barwala, Pooth Khurd, and Prahladpur will have better transportation options for commuting. This route will not only improve connectivity but also ease the daily commute for the residents in these areas, particularly in the northwest regions of Delhi.”
“The 990C route promises to enhance accessibility and convenience for residents and commuters, contributing to Delhi’s efforts to make its transportation system one of the best in the country. It extends the city’s growing network of public transportation, providing an essential service to areas previously underserved by reliable and efficient bus routes,” Gahlot added.
The route covers significant points of interest, including Bawana Primary School, Pooth Khurd, Barwala, Rithala Metro Station, and several other vital locations.
