Neighbours in shock over deaths of Bhatia family

New Delhi: In between 10- 11 pm on Saturday, Jatin, a kid living just nearby the house where 11 persons were found dead in North Delhi area, went outside his residence to buy some things found the two children and the senior family member sitting inside the shop.

As per their facial expression, they were relaxed.

The grocery shop of the deceased family always opened around 6 am but on Sunday the milkman was waiting outside the store.

A senior citizen, who lives nearby the house, went to inform their neighbours about milk as soon he knocked on the door.

It opened easily and then he witnessed the horrific scene.

"Ten of the victims were hanging with the clothes on their faces and the woman was lying on the floor," said the eyewitness.

Kuldeep who lives nearby the house was the next person who went inside the house.

"It was horrific, nine persons were hanging with closely but a woman with the help of door lock was hanging. I informed the police about the incident," said Kuldeep.

Police sources claimed, "Kuldeep found all the family members were hanging from a net used for ventilation. He then informed other neighbours and finally the cops were informed."

A video of the bodies lying was also shot and went viral in the Whats App group. The water cooler was kept nearby. However, cops are investigating whether it was on or off.

Eyewitnesses further added that in one of the bodies, it was found that the clothes which were tightened in legs were loosened which added many possibilities like the person might have tried to rescue. Jatin used to play with Dhruv (15) and Shivam (15) who were also the deceased in the case. "They were very good family, never thought they were in any tension," said Kuldeep. The residents also did not hear any noise coming out from the deceased housed on the intervening night of Saturday-Sunday.
