NDMC plans Suvidha Camp on April 4 for public services
New Delhi: The New Delhi Municipal Council will organise its monthly Suvidha Camp on April 4 at the NDCC Convention Centre on Jai Singh Road, as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen citizen engagement and streamline grievance redressal.
The camp, scheduled from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., will function as a single-window platform enabling residents to access a wide range of civic services and resolve issues through direct interaction with officials. The initiative is aimed at improving service delivery and ensuring quicker resolution of complaints.
Residents, Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs), Market Traders Associations (MTAs), and both serving and retired NDMC employees have been invited to participate. Officials said the camp is designed to provide on-the-spot assistance and clarity on procedures related to municipal services.
A range of issues can be addressed at the camp, including electricity-related services such as new connections, disconnections, load changes, and name transfers. Citizens can also raise concerns regarding property tax, birth and death certificates, waterlogging, sanitation, waste management, and road maintenance. In addition, assistance will be provided for pension schemes, including those for widows, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities, as well as bookings for community spaces like Barat Ghars and public parks
Dedicated helpdesks staffed by officials from multiple departments will be set up to ensure time-bound responses and efficient handling of grievances. The civic body noted that such camps are held regularly on the first Saturday of every month at the same venue, reinforcing its commitment to accessible governance.
NDMC has launched the Jan Suvidha Portal, enabling residents to lodge complaints online, track their status and share feedback, in a move aimed at enhancing transparency, accountability and efficiency in civic service delivery.
