Narrow escape for Dhaba manager even as armed assailants fire at him
Gurugram: Kishan, a manager of Shri Ram Dhaba, narrowly escaped from being murdered after an unidentified man shot at him at a close range. The accused was accompanied by two other men. The real reason for the shooting has still not been ascertained.
However, it has been claimed that there was an attempt of murder on Kishan as he and his team had gone into a fight with few drunken youths a few days ago in the eatery. The brazen incident occurred at around 9:00 pm on Tuesday night when two men first entered the eatery posing as customers.
After getting to know there was not much of crowd, the two then intimated their colleague to come into the restaurant while the manager was at the counter. After getting the intimation, a masked man came to the counter and shot at the manager with a close range. The bullet pierced into the right shoulder of the victim. There was another shot which was fired but the bullet hit the wall.
Having understood that the gunshots had cautioned the people nearby the assailants he fired few more gunshots in the air before fleeing from the spot.
Without wasting any time, the injured manager was rushed to the nearby hospital. His condition is said to be out of danger. The attackers have not been caught yet. The Gurugram police have filed the case under sections of attempt to murder and the illegal arms act. The whole incident was captured in the CCTV.
"As of now, it is still not clear that what was the main cause behind the incident. During the investigation, however, we found out that Kishan along with his other employees had got into a fight with few-drunken youth who caused a ruckus in the restaurant a few days ago. There may be a possibility that this incident may have been carried out by them," said a senior official from Gurugram police
The incident of gunshots being fired in the busy areas of the city is not a new phenomenon. In a worrying trend, the brazen incidents are not only reported from the outskirts of the city but even in densely populated areas of MG road, Sohna road, Jharsa road, and Sector-9 A.
