Narela robbery solved, 2 held

NEW DELHI: A sensational daylight armed robbery in which an Anaj Mandi businessman was robbed of Rs 18 lakh in Narela area on June 25, has been worked out by Delhi Police with the arrest of a notorious criminal 23-year-old Raghuveer, .

He is a resident of Ambedkar Colony, Bijwasan, Delhi and subsequent arrest of his associate Rohit (27), a resident of Begum Vihar, Begumpur, Delhi with a loaded improvise pistol at Begumpur.

Cash Rs 7.45 lakh and one-second hand Swift Dzire car purchased for consideration of about Rs 1.5 lakh from the robbed amount have been recovered so far.

"On interrogation, the accused disclosed that he had committed the crime along with his associate Rohit on the basis of information received from two criminal belonging to Haryana."

"He further disclosed that booty has been kept by his associate Rohit in his house at Begum Vihar, Delhi," said Gaurav Sharma, DCP Outer North.
