Murder over injury to dog: Three more nabbed
NEW DELHI: Five days after a man was murdered because his tempo grazed a youth's pet dog in Uttam Nagar, Delhi Police on Wednesday made three more arrests in the case, including that of the main accused Ankit.
One of the accused, 19-year-old Karan Rana, had been arrested last Sunday.
The incident happened on October 6 at around 12.50 am, when a tempo being driven by 40-year-old Vijender Rana accidentally grazed a pet dog in Uttam Nagar.
This offended Ankit and they both got into a verbal scuffle. Ankit was soon joined by the other accused men, who stabbed Rana to death with screwdrivers.
"During investigation, a knife used by the accused persons, a Mahindra XUV 500 car, clothes belonging to the accused Dev and a mobile phone used by him during the period he was absconding have been recovered," said a senior police officer.
