Police find the auto driver had criminal record
The investigation in the case where clash was reported between the auto-rickshaw driver Sarabjeet Singh and Delhi Police personnel revealed that the driver was earlier accused of beating a person in New Delhi.
The first information report (FIR) of that case was registered in Parliament police station in April. A sewadar in New Delhi based Gurudwara had told police that he saw a person sleeping in Gurudwara while his son was sitting next to him. The complainant and one Shalu Singh started questioning him (father) regarding his whereabouts on this he started fighting. "They were living in Gurudwara from last four days I informed that manager who told us to bring both of them in his office," reads FIR. When both were taken to the manager's office, the son started to walk outside the Gurudwara when the complainant caught him (son) from the back. His father bent the complainant's hand and started fighting with him. "He was telling me that "I will kill you". Later other staff of Gurudwara came and rescued me," FIR further reads. The assaulter was later identified as Sarabjeet Singh.
When asked, Deputy Commissioner of Police (New Delhi) Madhur Verma said that the same driver Sarabjeet Singh was involved in Mukherjee Nagar incident.
