Mother, son held for businessman's kidnapping

New Delhi: The Special Cell of Delhi Police has arrested a Mewati mother-son duo, who were allegedly involved in the kidnapping of an Indore-based businessman from the IGI airport. The police claimed that the arrest was made from different parts of the city on July 7 and 8. The accused was identified as Akram who was arrested on July 7 from the bus stand on Badarpur border whereas his mother named Meman was arrested from ISBT Sarai Kale Khan. The two were carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 each from Delhi Police. Akram is wanted in more than five cases of kidnapping cum robbery.

DCP (Special Cell) Pramod Singh Kushwah stated that the both the accused along with other associates had planned to kidnap the businessman from the Delhi airport.
