Mock security drill held at JLN Stadium
New Delhi: To check the operational preparedness of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and other security agencies, a Joint Mega-Mock Exercise was conducted here at JLN Metro station on Wednesday.
The created situation warranted the response from multiple agencies, the message was flashed through District Administration to all concerned agencies as per National Disaster Management Protocol.
The drill started at 10.15 pm on Wednesday and lasted till 2.08 am on Thursday. Teams of CISF, NDRF, NSG, DMRC, DDMA, DMRP, Delhi Fire Service, Delhi Traffic Police and Delhi Police participated in the exercise. A PCR call from CISF Operations in Delhi Metro for mock drill regarding "Chemical, Biological and Nuclear CBRN (Chemical Biological Radioactive Nuclear) situation" was received. Upon receiving the information, an alert has been sent through police control room under the supervision of ACP Safdarjung Enclave. Along with the additional staff of Sub-Division Safdarjung Enclave, he reached the spot and cordoned the area.
During the exercise, CISF as a first responder followed the security protocol and evacuated the passengers with the help of DMRC staff and deployed its QRTs to contain the situation within the time frame and other teams of various stakeholders.
