Missing boy found dead in Rohini, no foul play suspected

New Delhi: The body of 14-year-old boy was found floating in a pool of rainwater near his home in Kirari area of Rohini district on Tuesday.

Police said that he was missing since July 22 and no foul play is being suspected in the case.

Drowning might be the reason behind death but police said that they are waiting for the postmortem report.

According to police the deceased lived with his family in Prem Nagar area was reported missing from near his house since 11am on July 2.

"When matter was reported to police a case was registered under sections 363 the of IPC at Prem Nagar police station," said police adding that a search was made.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini) SD Mishra said that on Tuesday at around 5.30am his body was found in d water filled in MLA

ground.

The house of deceased is almost at the edge of MLA ground filled with rain water and drainage of surrounding colonies.

Family members have not expressed any foul play into the death of deceased.

"It seems that he entered in the shallow water after leaving his slippers in front of his house then he slipped and got stuck in the silt. Body has been sent for postmortem. Deceased's father is a plumber," said DCP Rohini.
