Metro to remain closed today till 2.30 pm

In a major announcement, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation on Sunday has issued a public notice for non-operation of metro trains and feeder buses for public on March 13.

According to the notification released by the DMRC, "The metro services will not be available for public till 2.30pm on the day of 'Holi' festival, i.e., 13th March, 2017 (Monday) on all lines of Delhi Metro including Airport Express Line".

The services will resume after 2.30 pm on all lines on March 13.

In addition, the Metro feeder bus services will not be available for the entire day on March 13.

Moreover, to make sure no untoward incidents take place in the city, about 25,000 police personnel will be on duty across the city on the day of the popular festival, a senior police officer said.
