Mayor visits flood affected Priyadarshini Colony in Kashmere Gate

New Delhi: Mayor Dr Shelly Oberoi visited the flood-affected region of Priyadarshini Colony in Kashmere Gate on Sunday to understand the issues faced by the people due to the recent floods.

The locals complained that the devastating floods have robbed them of important government documents like Aadhar cards and Pan cards. During the visit, the mayor assured them that the government would take swift action to remake the documents and pledged to establish a dedicated camp that would help individuals obtain new copies of their lost documents.

“I understand the importance of documents like Aadhar cards and Pan cards in your lives. Losing them can be a source of great distress. The government stands firmly by your side during these challenging times. We will establish a camp where you can easily apply for and obtain new copies of your documents. We aim to expedite the process and ensure you regain access to essential services as quickly as possible,” Dr Shelly said.

In addition to the issuance of crucial documents, the AAP government has also directed relevant departments to extend immediate support to those affected by the flood. Efforts are underway to provide relief materials such as food, water, and medical assistance to ensure the well-being of the residents in these trying times, as the government has set up relief camps for the people who are affected by the flood.

Through initiatives such as the document re-issuance camp, the government aims to empower the affected individuals and assist them in rebuilding their lives after this devastating natural disaster.
