Many Gargi students take back case citing 'tedious legal process'

New Delhi: Numerous students of all-women's Gargi college have said that they have taken back their complaint in the mass molestation case after many outsiders barged into their annual fest.

Several of these students have not recorded their statements, some even withdrawing them before the police citing "tedious legal process". It has been a month since the incident where police officials said at least 100 suspects were identified using videos and CCTV footage. However, the students say it is exhausting and is becoming difficult for them to cope with the legal process.

Meanwhile, the students are expecting the college fact finding committee to do something concrete in the case. The police, which is also investigating the case, had arrested 17 people. They were later released on bail.
